It was confirmed that pop group Blue has joined the ITV2 series “The Big Reunion”.

The show brings back together pop groups who we’re huge years ago but split and disappeared from the limelight. Groups like Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, 5ive, Liberty X, 911, Honeyz already made up and reunited to perform for one last time.

Why the news about Blue is a bit shocking is because the four aren’t technically reuniting. They are actually going to launch a new album soon. The group’s history is quite rocky but we kept seeing a lot of them during these years.

In 2005, after a line-up of hits like “One Love”, “All Rise”, “Fly By”, “You Make Wanna”, etc they announced they we’re splitting up. They reunited in 2009 and have been on and off since, including them representing the UK at the 2011 Eurovision song contest with the song “I Can”. That wasn’t a very successful move because they got only the 11th place.  After this they disappeared and everybody assumed they split, some of them even trying to go solo.

Actually they recording all this time, and the up-mentioned album has already been released in Europe, following to be released in the UK later this year.

So that is why, when announced that they we’re participating at the ITV show, the Twitterverse exploded with all kinds of confused people .For example: Morning all! I’m not really sure I understand why Blue is joining the Big Reunion? They’ve back together for ages & did the Eurovision?!!”. Another one wrote: Why has Blue joined the Big Reunion? They never split or left the music industry?”

The girls from B*Witched showed their support to the Blue band welcoming them on board of the ITV show.

There weren’t just negative comments, the fans we’re delighted to hear the news that the boys will go on the Big Reunion Tour, which starts tonight at the Hammersmith Apollo. All the tickets are sold out for this gig
