Blue too important for the Big Reunion tour

Revived band Blue got everybody at ITV angry because they agreed to play only at  four out the twelve dates of the Big Reunion tour this summer.  Simon Webbe, Antony Costa, Lee Ryan and Duncan James have made the decision to give up the comeback tour very last minute, to focus on their own tour which will start in September, and lasts till December.

An inside source said: The boys were happy to appear in the show but there is a feeling they are too successful to be tagging along with the other bands. ITV weren’t best pleased. Their priority is The Big Reunion and they think Blue’s priority is Blue. Blue, who were the last to join the revival show, apparently considered to scrap the dates altogether, but they agreed to feature as special guest in Aberdeen, Liverpool, Nottingham and Bournemouth. Their spokesperson made an official statement saying that: Blue will perform at four of The Big Reunion shows. They are unable to appear at the remaining dates because of prior commitments. The other bands featured on the show (Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, 911, 5ive, Liberty X and Honeyz) will not be pleased about this for sure, taking into consideration their comments when Blue suddenly joined the television show.

Blue joined the other bands from the Big Reunion show on a one-off gig at Hammersmith Apollo, earlier this month. During the ITV show they confessed how since they split in 2005, each had his own demons to face: Duncan became addicted to anti-depressants, Lee struggled with alcohol and Antony and Simon both faced huge financial troubles.

The boys, who consider themselves wiser now,  will release a new single next month and a new album soon.
