Cilla, 70, joins current presenter Holly Willoughby to give two sisters a night they will never forget.

Sue Curtis, 60, from Peterborough, and Jacqui Ireland, 53, from Northamptonshire, appear on the tear-jerking programme with a special request.

Their mother Lillian appeared on Surprise Surprise in 1999, when Cilla was presenting, but died from breast cancer six weeks later.

Their only videotape of the show has been lost and Jacqui would love Sue to see the emotional episode one more time. The show is on at 7pm.

Cilla, who has just celebrated 50 years in showbusiness, hosted the heartwarming entertainment show from 1984 to 2001.

Other surprises this week include a woman being reunited with her secret sister and brother, and Rod Stewart performs in the studio for a fan who has raised thousand of pounds for children’s charities.

The show comes towards the end of a busy year for Holly, 32.

In March, she hosted a second series of BBC1’s The Voice and she continues to present ITV’s This Morning, with Phillip Schofield.

She is also a team captain on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice and will be returning to ITV’s Text Santa charity telethon at Christmas.
