Simon Cowell would love to be a judge again on the X Factor competition, and probably the show could benefit as well, taking into consideration the disappointing ratings in the past few years. Simon left in 2011, to launch the show in USA, at the same time with Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue.
But he still has to be on the US show this year, but he would like to be back in 2014: I would love to come back. I need to try and make it work. I will have to wait and see, but it would certainly be very entertaining to be back with Louis and Sharon!
Cowell never ruled out a return on the show, but his reasons of not returning this year are purely because of his schedule. It’s all to do with timing, it would be impossible to do the English show and American show together, he explained.
Meanwhile, the bookmakers from Paddy Power have checked the odds for each celebrity to return on the ITV1 show. Sharon Osbourne is the favourite for Tulisa’s replacement, with 6/5 odds to return.
Robbie Williams, who made a hit appearance, last year in the master class episode, has odds of 7/4. Music mogul Simon Cowell has odds of 2/1 to return as a judge, while Mel B has odds of 9/2.
Despite the reports that Tulisa has been fired from the show, The Daily Mail revealed that she might still return for the 2013 show. According to them, Tulisa was told by X Factor executive producer Richard Holloway during dinner that “It’s all still to play for”. A source told Daily Mail that ‘She’s realistic that she might not be back but Richard was very positive about her and said no final decisions had been made.
The source also said that: There’s going to be an evolution, but not a revolution. Out of Louis Walsh, Tulisa and Gary Barlow, one or two are expected to go. Well we’ll just have to wait and see which one is it.
