Simon Cowell will be walking down the aisle….with David Walliams

Simon Cowell has always been a ladies man and an eternal bachelor but apparently something determined him to seal the deal. He will be finally  walking down the aisle on what it would be the wedding of the year. The one who will hear his vows would be no other than David Walliams! The gentleman will be joined by Amanda Holden and Aleshia Dixon as bridesmaids.

If you didn’t get it and you’ve been shocked for a second, relax, all this is part of a skit set up for the Comic Relief-Funny for Money, as the Red Nose Day celebrates its 25th anniversary.

David is dressed in a beautiful wedding dress, and his grinning along Simon, who is also happy about the day. Simon chose an open-neck shirt for the big day. Their fellow colleagues from Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda and Aleshia, are dressed in the typical bridesmaids satin gowns.

The pair was joined to celebrate their special day by a large number of famous faces and friends, like X Factor host Dermot O’Leary, Louis Walsh, Caroline Flack, Olly Murs, Simon’s ex-girlfriend Sinnita, and stars from Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor such as Rylan Clark, Stavros Flatley, Dennis Egal, the Showbears and Pudsey the dog.

Talking about the event, David, the happy bride, declared: I never thought I would see Simon Cowell get married, much like Cliff Richard he’s the eternal bachelor! It was actually very moving to see him at the altar.

Dermot O’Leary was amazed by the news and happy for the couple: I never thought I’d be invited to Simon Cowell’s wedding because I never thought Simon would have a wedding! I’m more of a gate-crasher really but I’m over the moon nonetheless. Seeing Simon standing at the altar was a little shocking!

The wedding ceremony is just one of the events that will happen as the star-studded line-up of UK’s favourite comedians will do something funny to raise money for the Comic Relief on Red Nose Day. The presenters who promise to entertain the nation are Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon, John Bishop, Zoe Ball, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall, Jack Whitehall, Nick Grimshaw, Jonathan Ross, Dermot O’Leary, Claudia Winkleman, Alan Carr, David Walliams and Russell Brand, an amazing cast who will deliver fun original sketches to raise money for the benefit.
