Ray Winstone and Amanda Redman are et to star in a new ITV series called The Trials of Jimmy Rose. The Trials of Jimmy Rose is a warm, funny and compelling drama about a man with a criminal past who has to prove to his wife and his family that it’s never too late to start over. It’s a 3-part series being filmed in Manchester beginning in November 2014. Winstone is known for his “tough guy” roles, beginning with his role as Carlin in the 1979 film Scum and then Will Scarlet in the television series Robin of Sherwood. Redman is best known for her role as Sandra Pullman in the BBC One series New Tricks. The two will fit the series well.

Film and TV stars Ray Winstone and Amanda Redman will be reunited on screen in a major new ITV drama which will start filming in Manchester next month.
Ray and Amanda are already good friends after their roles as husband and wife in acclaimed crime drama Sexy Beast in 2000.
They will play a married couple again in the new crime thriller for ITV, The Trials of Jimmy Rose.
Film hardman Ray will play notorious armed robber Jimmy, who throughout his life has made crime pay, while Amanda plays his long-suffering wife Jackie.
And while his family live in a beautiful detached home, Jimmy’s actions have come at an enormous cost to his family with him spending more time in prison than with love-of-his-life Jackie, their children and grandchildren.
The three-part series, written by Alan Whiting, will explore how Jimmy tries to put his criminal life behind him and regain their respect.
The series is the latest big network drama to be filmed around Manchester – hot on the heels of The Driver on the BBC and the new series of Scott and Bailey currently airing on ITV. Th

Ray and Amanda are both looking forward to filming in Manchester starting this November. ITV once again is pinning down the life of someone committed to crime but who is repentant and trying to rid himself of those evil tendencies. His wife is a perfect illustration of longsuffering, love and forgiveness. We have no indication of when the drama will appear on ITV yet but we’ll update you as soon as we find out.
