Peoples Millions is now accepting applications for community projects. Up to £50,000 is available for local community based projects. Winning applicants will compete against each other for the public vote across ITV’s regional news programmes in November.
The People’s Millions is a partnership between ITV and the Big Lottery Fund where the public help decide which local community projects get up to £50,000 of National Lottery Funding.
Applications are now invited and over the Summer a shortlist and reserve list will be drawn up with successful projects going head-to-head competing for the public vote across ITV’s regional news programmes in November.
Over the past nine years The People’s Millions has awarded more than £31m to 599 community projects across the UK. In that time more than 3.3m votes have been cast by members of the public.
This year we have 76 awards to give away totalling up to £3.8m. Each grant is for up to £50,000. The application process is now open and will close at midday on Friday 16th May.
We are interested in hearing from projects that improve the lives of people in their communities. The groups could be:
- a voluntary or community organisation
- a school
- a local authority
- a health body
- a branch of organisation or partnership.
