Nicole is one busy lady but she knows when to step down and support her man. Sure it’s convenient to support your boyfriend at work when he is a Formula 1 top driver and he has to compete in sunny Malaysia. And Nicole seemed more than happy to leave rainy, cold London to be besides her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton in Kuala Lumpur for the Grand Prix.
Lewis waited for his hot girlfriend at the airport, tweeting that he’s excited for her arrival: Been a great day, can’t wait to get in the car tomorrow. & my girl @NicoleScherzy arrives to come support me this weekend, can’t wait.
Lewis admitted that he has some fears that Mercedes lacks the pace to fight for this year world championship, but he doesn’t rule out at least one race win. He placed fifth on the Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix , more than he imagined when he started the season. It seems that Mercedes decided to take a considerable step forward that the last season, and they could have what it takes now to challenge reigning champions Red Bull and their long-time rivals, Ferrari.
But when it comes to a title challenge Hamilton admitted that this is not the year: At the moment, in terms of pure performance we don’t have the speed to compete for the world title. But I feel there is more in the car and if we set it up we can be quicker. Whether that means we can close the gap and get ahead of the others, who knows. I’m certainly thinking we could get one win, maybe more than one, but the other guys are going to make it as hard as they can that’s for sure.
Unfortunately for Lewis, this Grand Prix in Malaysia is happening a bit too son, for a dream of victory to realise. The weather will be crucial for him to get strong points, because torrential rain usually strikes in the afternoon, and he has concerns about how Mercedes will manage in the wet, as he had some difficulties last week in Melbourne and he slid at some point.
But for better or for worse he has his hubby Nicole to be his lucky charm and support him no matter what!
