The revamp of ITV’s Loose Women continues!
Just when we thought things couldn’t get any crazier on Loose Women another shakeup has been announced. This time there are two new names that have been confirmed to join the Loose Women panel in the coming months- those being Myleene Klass and Ruth Langsford.
We can expect to see Myleene first grace our screens as part of the Loose women team in January 2014. Thursday the 9th January to be precise. They have apparently signed her on to do an initial show, and if that is a success and popular with the viewer’s then more slots will be offered so that Myleene appears as a regular panellist on the show.
This is very different to how Loose women used to be with a fairly static line-up of panellists- now it seems with the new shake-up that different combinations of the panellists could be chosen every week to keep the programme fresh, entertaining, and relevant to all.
The more experienced Langsford has however been offered a more permanent slot on the show as she has done the job before. Having had a very successful run co-hosting with husband Eamon Holmes on ITV’s This Moring it is rumoured that Ruth Langsford has been offered a position as a regular anchor on the programme.
Ruth will join the other TV veterans Carol Vorderman, Andrea Mclean and Kaye Adams and will make her debut to the show on January the 8th. However she will still continue to present on This Morning with Eamon ever Friday alongside this so never fear!
Ruth said: “Loose Women has always been close to my heart. I have a long history with the show having done the very first series back in 1999. I am thrilled to be back with the girls on a more regular basis, here’s to being Loose in 2014.”
Langford certainly has the right credentials having started out as a newscaster for ITV regional news before appearing for the first time as a panellist on Loose Women. She made regular appearances on the show until 2002 and now she’s very excited to return.
We are sure she will be a great asset to the team.
Alongside the regular anchors Myleene will provide some much needed youth to the show as well as popstar Jamelia who has also recently been recruited. 32 year old Myleene is a singer actress presenter and model. Some of her most famous work has of course been being part of successful pop band Hear’ Say as well as being the front woman on the popular reality TV competition ‘Popstar to Operastar.’ She is also a favourite of giant retailer M & S appearing in several of their TV adverts over the years.
According to the Mirror ITV Director of Daytime, Helen Warner who is responsible for the shake-up said: “Loose Women for 2014 will see our fantastic existing panellists joined by some new faces along the way. We look forward to more in the way of fresh and topical discussion and to welcoming Ruth and Myleene in January.”
The new episodes are certainly bound to be different –lets see if all this shaking up brings in the viewers!
