Lorraine Kelly discussed some intimate details with her fellow colleague Piers Morgan on his ITV show Life Stories, about the fact that her early morning job doesn’t affect her sex life.
Asked if her really early morning schedule has ruined her’s and her husband’s bedroom moments, Lorraine Kelly, host of the Daybreak show on ITV, responded very openly that it didn’t. In fact, it turned it into an “Afternoon delight”. But unfortunately, those sessions don’t happen as often as they would like, explaining that: I’m down here but he’s up there. But we see each other at weekends. The two have been married for 20 years and have an 18 year old daughter, Rosie. They are settled in Scotland, but Lorraine travels to London every week to do the show.
The TV presenter said that her husband enjoys seeing her on TV even if he doesn’t express much . Only when she’s wearing a cleavage: If he says anything it’s mostly: ‘That’s a really nice dress cause it’s a booby dress.’ He likes to see the boobies.
Lorraine talked about a sad moment of her life, when she had a miscarriage and wasn’t able to have children since. I’m really blessed to have my daughter, I have a beautiful girl,” she says. “But it would have been great .I think my regret is not being able to have more kids, I would have really loved more kids. But it just wasn’t meant to be, and we didn’t go down the road of IVF or anything like that, cause we thought: ‘If it’s meant to happen if it happens, and we’ve been blessed with one’.
Besides these intimate stories, Lorraine also talked about some celebrities she met along the way. She revealed that she was almost sued by Britney Spears’s mum, after commenting that the singer dressed like a “tart”. She said: I was naughty. Britney’s mum pressed legal action, but in the end they couldn’t sue me cause it was kind of true. That was before she went into complete meltdown, which was awful.
Some of her worst interviews ever involved Lady Gaga, Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford. The Daybreak presenter got off to a bad start with Lady Gaga because she made some jokes to break the ice about her outfit of Minnie Mouse ears, torn tights and hotpants. Clearly Gaga didn’t appreciate them. Bruce Willis was acting like he didn’t want to be there and Harrison Ford “was very, very difficult”. Lorraine said that she was absolutely gutted because Blade Runner is one of my favourite movies of all time.
She did enjoy her interview with Robert Downey Jr, who complimented her cleavage. I was actually for once quite lost for words, but he was a wee soul, Lorraine added.
Piers Morgan is back on the ITV screens every Friday on 9PM, bringing out the best life stories of your beloved stars.
