This year’s rendition of X-Factor has seen things switched up, with celebrities being brought in rather than any contestant from around Britain willing to audition. We’ve seen rugby stars, influencers, quizmasters and more compete. One name that might have brought more star-power than anyone else was Katie Price, who has teased that she wanted to have a crack at the talent show, but that she couldn’t because judge Simon Cowell fancied her.
It has been two years since the former reality star confessed that the two once hooked up after she got drunk at an award show and he invited her back with him. Katie is now in a relationship with Kris Boyson, who’s hinted that the pair are ready to have kids. This didn’t stop her from jokingly suggesting that Simon, who’s almost twenty years older than her, still fancied her. She said “Only joking, I’m not joking. I’m joking. Oh, I don’t know what has happened to me today”, so we’re still if this really stopped her from giving it a go.
Her interest in performing on X-Factor Celebrity did seem genuine though, with her claim that “I can sing” leaving many of us wondering what may have been.
The entertainment superstar also talked about her openness to returning for a third stint on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, starring on the TV show The Only Way Is Essex and her disdain for Katie Hopkins, who was her closest contestant when she emerged as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother.
Price held nothing back when she savagely claimed Hopkins was a “two-faced b*tch”.
Clearly, she was in the mood to reminisce over her time in the limelight. We might not find out if anything really kept her from contesting on X-Factor. If the celebrity format comes back again after this year, she’d certainly help the show to compete with Strictly!
