The Luminites, who came fifth in last season’s Britain’s got talent are set to wow audiences with their new single ‘Do Something.’

So there is talent in Britain after all! And it turns out it comes in the shape of previous Britain’s Got Talent finalists, Lumintes- a catchy new pop band who are releasing their debut single upon the world!

Although they didn’t win the competition Lumintes were constantly impressive throughout the series. Simon Cowell even commented “Thank God for sending me the Luminites” -high praise coming from a man who is notoriously hard to please.

Band members JJ, Ben, Corey and Steph explained that the single was inspired by their rise to fame saying:

‘Everything we’ve done and all the success we’ve achieved so far has been down to us putting ourselves out there and making the most of everything that’s come our way and that’s why this song means so much to us.

‘We are so excited to be releasing our first ever single and hope people enjoy it.’

The song is upbeat and the video is fun filled and packed with energy as the band bounce around on and offstage. It is sure to be a crowd pleaser and with their army of fans ‘the Luminees’ as they call themselves growing day by day (they have trended on Twitter three times this week already) the single is bound to be a chart smashing success.

Britain’s Got Talent is a British talent show that airs on ITV with its sister show Britain’s Got More Talent shown on ITV2. It started life in June 2007, making a breakthrough from the usual song and dance competitions as it allowed anyone of any age with any talent to come and try their luck performing, magicians, dancing dogs, and comedians have all tried their hand as well as musicians, singers and dancers that you would usually see in a talent contest.

During their time on the show the Lumintes consistently impressed the judges with their versions of songs such as ‘Hurts so Good’ by Millie Jackson and ‘To Love Somebody’ by the Bee Gees.

The single ‘Do something’ is out on the 10th November.
