Irene frets over the trial verdict, will she lose everything???

Aspiring romance writer with a number of short stories being published May 2020 and freelance reporter on all things UK. Guilty pleasures are soap and celebrity gossip and 80's cheese ; think A-ha and Nick Kershaw.

We are currently awaiting to find out the outcome of the trial of Irene and Tommy. Irene had attacked Tommy when she found out he attacked Bella at The Beach House. Leah has been supporting Irene since and rallying behind her throughout the trial. She ensured that the support group was at the trial with her, to show the judge that the public support Irene in this.

Irene’s Lawyer has advised her to to make any public comments, so Leah has organised for a member of the support group to give an interview instead. Leah’s edits the stories that she is told from the support group and then encourages Irene she should watch them, which she does, and is taken aback by the outpouring of support for the situation she is in.

However things take another turn when Irene is called by her lawyer, who informs her that Tommy is looking to sue Irene, and she could lose not only her house, but also the Diner.
When she finds this out, she asks to sign over her share of the Diner to Leah. This is so that if the outcome of the trial is bad, all of Irene’s assets will be frozen, which includes the diner. However if she signs it away, then The Diner will still be safe in the hands of her friend Leah. Leah doesn’t want to do this, as she thinks it almost shows Irene’s guilty verdict. Will she refuse to sign?
