After declaring that she is done with X Factor, declining to return on the UK version of the show last year and reportedly this year, it seems that Dannii Minogue has agreed to join the Australian version of the show, after being offered a six-figure deal.
The rumours said she had signed this ‘six-figure’ deal and will be joining Ronan Keating on the panel. A source talked with The Mirror and said: Dannii is delighted to be back on a show she had a lot of fun doing. She was also very successful on the UK version. This time around she can find talent in her own country and find a new Australian singing star. Dannii sees Australia as her home and so this offer works perfectly for her family life with her son Ethan. Being on the Australian show also means she doesn’t need to cross paths with Simon Cowell and that is no bad thing either.
The move is expected to be confirmed on Tuesday, and will be the first time in 3 years when Dannii will take the seat of a judge in the X Factor competition since leaving in 2010. She has been on the show for four years, and left victorious after her act Matt Cradle won in 2010.
The singer is currently back in the UK, to launch a collaboration with Simply Be for her clothing line Project D and she’s filming a new TV show , Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model.
The surprise comes after Dannii has just declared in an interview last week that she’s done with X Factor and moving on with other projects. But maybe the fact that she is wanted in her native country made her change her mind. She was also thrilled to move back in UK, her second home, and show her two year old the UK life.
