Everyone knew that Caitlyn Jenner was a cut above the rest of the celebs when she was headhunted for I’m a Celebrity… get me out of here. She’s reportedly being paid a whopping half a million to appear on the hit UK show, significantly more than the next best-paid contestant Ian Wright who’s rumoured to be receiving between £200k-300k.
Despite Caitlyn’s earning and her well-known family wealth, she still shocked the rest of the jungle when she casually let slip of how much her daughters pay for security. Cliff Parisi asked whether the family needed protection at all times, and when Caitlyn said that was the case no one was shocked. However, when she said that her daughter Kylie spends $300k-400k a month on security, no one at home or in the jungle could believe their ears.
Kylie has been described as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, although many people obviously contest how much of her fortune is self-made. What isn’t up for debate, however, is how popular the young celebrity is, and she’s one of the most recognisable faces on the planet.
This didn’t make the figure any less shocking, and Twitter flooded with people exclaiming how they felt. Paul Chuckle even hopped on his social media to get in on the disbelief.
Aside from talking finances, Caitlyn talked about her continued breakdown in relationship with daughter Khloe Kardashian. She said that they haven’t spoken in over five years and that whilst the rest of her children came to terms with her transition Khloe “was pissed off about something through this whole process”.
Caitlyn went on to say of Khloe, “I really don’t know what her issues are.”
If there’s one thing people love about that family, it’s the intrigue and drama. Viewers will be hoping to catch as many pieces of gossip that Caitlyn lets slip as they can as the show goes on.
