Britney Spears was caught riding a double decker bus in London this week after announcing the title of her upcoming album, “Britney Jean.” Britney’s family is happy with the title because they have always called her Britney Jean. It reminds me of Marilyn Monroe (Norma Jean) and maybe she wants fans to make that connection.
Britney Spears continued her UK press trip with a little sightseeing in London today. She was spotted leaving the Savoy Hotel and boarding one of the city’s signature double-decker buses before going for a ride with a colleague. It’s been a big day for Britney, as she announced the title of her upcoming album, Britney Jean, on London’s Capital FM radio this morning. She explained her choice on air, saying, “It’s a personal album, and all my family, they always called me Britney Jean,” adding, “It’s like a term of endearment. I just wanted to share that with my fans.”
Britney has been overseas this week to promote her new project as well as her approaching two-year Las Vegas residency, which launches Dec. 27 — see 12 ways to channel Britney for Halloween before her big gig! In addition to her radio-station stop, she shared a photo on Instagram with British television presenter Alison Hammond after filming “a really fun interview” for ITV’s morning show.
