Ben is still suffering, and Bella finds a supportive friend

Ben is still causing anguish for Maggie and Ziggy, as he has moved out into a caravan. He is trying to deal with his depression, but he is still suffering. Maggie is very understanding of his condition and knows he just needs space and can come home when he feels ready. Ziggy also starts to give him this space as well, promising to respect his wishes and give him time.

Ben meets up with Maggie to talk about selling the pier complex. He also spends some time with Alf, but emotionally he is still being quite withdrawn.

Elsewhere on the bay, Bella still won’t go to school. Colby is trying to convince her to go back, but enlists the help of Ryder to try and convince Bella of what shes missing at school. In trying to comfort bella, Ryber puts his arm round her, but although this was an innocent gesture, it freaks out Bella.   Ryder does not know about what happened between Tommy and Bella, so he doesn’t understand the reaction Bella has when he puts his arm around her.

After some time, Bella decides to confide in Ryder about Tommys attack, so that he will understand how she’s been reacting. Bella is relieved when Ryder offers his support unconditionally and is being the perfect friend to her.
